Section A and G

In Nicholas Carr's article, "Is Google Making Us Stupid?," section A talks about technology and how it provides proficiency. From this, they give the example of the stopwatch and how they were used in factories to create a better and faster working environment. This helped the production to accel. Section G talks about Google and how it is growing at a rapid rate. It is consistently coming up with new and better ways to make the human life easier and faster. Some even think that Google may even be slowly trying to replace the humanin a way, because the machine is becoming more important and is already faster than any human could provide within both the workforce and everyday life.

In Section A, an important claim that Carr made was that "...thanks to the growing power that computer engineers and software coders wield over our intellectual lives, Taylor's ethnic is beginning to govern the realm of the mind as well." This was convincing because throughout this section, Carr was talking about how the machine is becoming more important than the actual human and from this, they are becoming smarter than the human as well. Today, I personally use the computer as my source and when in doubt I ask the computer. The process of the machine taing over is already in progress.

In Section B, an important claim that Carr made was that "The more pieces of information we can "access" and the faster we can extract their gist, the more productive we become as thinkers." Society is so dependent on the computer today and people focus on getting more information more often than actually contemplating one subject. The more information, the smarter you are, apparently.
