The evidence that Carr uses is from his friends who are “literary types”. One is Scott Karp who writes a blog on online media. He claims that he has stopped reading books altogether even though he was a lit major in college, the reason he gives for this is the convenience of using the web. Another person that he quotes is Bruce Friedman a blogger on the use of computers in medicine and pathologist at the University of Michigan Medical School. He says that he can no longer read a long article anything over three or four paragraphs he just scans.
