Nicholas Carr in his article " Is Google making us Stupid" uses a man named Daniel Bell to present "intellectual technologies" the tools that extend our mental rather than our physical capacities. Using the example of Daniel we can see how the computer is affecting our mind to think and act somewhat like the Internet. How we say and do things that we see on the Internet, like news, weather, and the new trends.
"The clock's methodical ticking helped bring into the scientific mind to the scientific man." When the mechanical clock arrived , people began thinking of their brains as operating " like clockwise". He suggests we have started, slowly turning into machines that operate in a cycle. "How we no longer listen to our senses, but nather are starting to listen to the clock."
