Main Idea: The human brain has become molded to technology.

Convincing Claims
1st claim: The process of adapting to new technologies is reflected in the changing of metaphors we use to explain ourselves.

-Even though the clock was invented many years ago it still affects today’s work. Everyone’s schedule is based around time; we began thinking our brains ran like clock work. But today we have adapted to the idea that our brains run like computers.

2nd Claim: The human brain is almost infinitely malleable.

- He uses a lot of evidence and also quotes a neuroscientist that states that the adult mind is very plastic. Meaning that nerve cells break like plastic but then reconnect and form new ones.

Interesting Claims

1st Claim: refer to the 1st claim above

- I never thought of explaining myself to myself in metaphors.
