Clive Thompson begins his article by summarizing The Kids Today saga, where are we today ? How do kids write ? For this memo, Clive Thompson uses Andrea Lunsford, a professor of writing and rheroric at Stanford University to illustrate his veiws. During a period of her time at the university, she collected 14,672 student writing samples, which included essay's, e-mails, etc. She expresses her conclusions by saying we're in the midst of a new revolution like we've never seen before. People write far more than any generation before us. Thompson goes on to say that writing more may either be good or bad, depending on how we do it. My own view on the New Literacy is that our own generation is changing towards a path that is unknown.
