On reading a video text

Robert Scholes discribes some features in video texts, how we see videos ? what makes videos good ? these are just a few of the questions he addresses in his essay. He goes on to say we ( people ) take extreme pleasure in videos, and always look for that good ending, an ending that puts our mind at ease. He expresses that every video has a narrative/ myth that adapts to our culture, it blends into our everyday life.

Scholes makes a great well thought out essay, describing people in general and how they what to watch videos that relate to them and really connect with them, people can relate to videos in a way that's cultural to them. Different people connect with different videos, it all depends on the narrative of the video, and how they relate to that certain person.
